Dixie D’Amelio is one of the most popular social media stars on the platform TikTok. She has amassed a following of over 41 million people on the app and is continuing to grow her career in the entertainment industry. D’Amelio got her start on TikTok when she was just 16 years old and has since gone on to star in multiple music videos, including her own debut single “Be Happy.” In addition to her work in music, D’Amelio has also appeared in several films and television shows. She is currently one of the stars of the Hulu original series “Girl in the Woods.”

Early Life

Dixie D’Amelio was born on August 12, 2001, in Norwalk, Connecticut. She was raised in a small town and attended high school there. D’Amelio started making videos on the social media platform Vine in 2013. She became popular on the app and continued to make videos after it shut down in 2016. D’Amelio started posting videos on YouTube in 2016. In 2018, she launched her own merchandise line. D’Amelio has also appeared in a few television shows and music videos.

Family and Education

Dixie D’Amelio is not the only one in her family who has gained fame on TikTok, she is of course the older sister of fellow TikTok star Charli D’Amelio who you most likely already know. Dixie was born and raised in Connecticut, where she attended high school. Upon graduating, she enrolled at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. However, she withdrew from the school after one semester to pursue a career in social media full-time.

D’Amelio’s father, Marc, is of Italian descent, while her mother, Heidi, has English and Irish ancestry. She has two sisters: Charli and Daisy.
